Zoom Broadens Indian Enterprise Footprint with Zoom Phone and Contact Centre Rollout

Zoom Communications has strengthened its presence in India with the expansion of its Zoom Phone service to six telecom circles and the official launch of its Zoom Contact Centre platform. These enterprise-focused services are tailored to meet the evolving communication needs of Indian businesses, combining traditional voice capabilities with modern, AI-powered omnichannel tools.

Zoom Phone Now Covers Key Indian Telecom Circles
Originally introduced in October 2024 across the Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu telecom regions, Zoom Phone is now expanding to four additional major telecom circles: Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Karnataka (Bengaluru), and Andhra Pradesh & Telangana (Hyderabad). The Delhi NCR circle includes prominent cities like Delhi, NOIDA, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad.

Licensed by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Zoom Phone is positioned as a modern replacement for traditional PBX systems, supporting inbound and outbound PSTN calls. Businesses can now unify their communications using Zoom’s AI-first platform, Zoom Workplace, which integrates seamlessly with Zoom Contact Centre.

Through a dedicated self-service portal, enterprises can assign native phone numbers based on the supported telecom regions. Even regions not directly supported by Zoom Phone can be connected using this centralized system.

Zoom Contact Centre: AI-Driven Customer Engagement
Alongside Zoom Phone, the company also launched its Contact Centre-as-a-Service (CCaaS) platform in India. Designed for enterprises, the Zoom Contact Centre supports multiple communication channels including voice, video, social media, messaging apps, virtual agents, and email.

With Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) support, businesses can continue using their current PSTN providers while leveraging Zoom’s cloud infrastructure to route traffic efficiently. Features like call routing, agent assistance, and cross-channel engagement are built into the solution to streamline customer service and internal collaboration.

These launches signal Zoom’s continued investment in the Indian market, especially as companies prioritize flexible, scalable, and AI-enhanced communication tools to support remote and hybrid work environments.
