Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna recently tied the knot in Udaipur on February 26, celebrating their marriage through two traditional South Indian wedding ceremonies. The intimate yet elegant event was attended by close family members and friends.
Following their wedding, the couple visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his office to seek his blessings. As the Prime Minister was unable to attend the wedding ceremony in person, Vijay and Rashmika made a courtesy call after their nuptials.
During the meeting, the newlyweds invited PM Modi to their wedding reception, which is scheduled to take place on March 4, 2026, in Hyderabad. Photographs from the meeting quickly gained traction on social media, with fans expressing excitement over the interaction.
In the viral images, the couple is seen smiling alongside the Prime Minister. In one photograph, Rashmika is seen presenting the formal reception invitation to him.
Prior to the wedding, PM Modi had sent a congratulatory letter addressed to Vijay Deverakonda’s parents. In his message, he extended warm wishes to both families and described the wedding as the beginning of a new and meaningful chapter in the couple’s lives. Referring to the traditional concept of “seven steps together,” he noted that marriage marks a lifelong bond of friendship and partnership.
The couple also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to personally invite him to their Hyderabad reception. Pictures from that meeting have similarly circulated online.
On the professional front, Vijay and Rashmika are set to collaborate once again in the upcoming film Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The project will mark their third on-screen pairing.
