The ongoing monsoon in North India has forced the makers of the upcoming action film Gunmaaster G9, starring Emraan Hashmi and Genelia Deshmukh, to postpone their shoot schedule.

According to a report by Mid-Day, director Aditya Datt confirmed the delay, citing safety risks associated with real-location filming during intense weather conditions. “The situation in Uttarakhand and even parts of Delhi has been quite serious. We’re not shooting on sets but in natural terrains, and safety of the crew is my top priority,” Datt stated.

The team has now rescheduled the shoot to September, in hopes of better weather and safer conditions. “We’d rather wait and shoot with full intensity once the skies clear,” Datt added, emphasizing the importance of safety over schedule.

Producer Deepak Mukut supported the decision, pointing to the logistical difficulties created by ongoing rains—such as road closures, flooding, and landslides. “It’s not just about delays; it’s about the safety and feasibility of executing a high-quality production in such conditions,” he said.

Gunmaaster G9 has already generated excitement for reuniting Emraan Hashmi with music composer Himesh Reshammiya, known for delivering back-to-back musical hits in the 2000s. The production team plans to ramp up preparations again as the new schedule in September approaches.
