Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma created history on September 30, 2025, by becoming the first Indian cricketer to score a fifty and take three wickets in the same match at the Women’s ODI World Cup.

The milestone came during India’s opening clash against Sri Lanka at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

• Deepti bowled 10 overs, conceding 54 runs and taking 3 wickets.
• She dismissed Sri Lankan skipper Chamari Athapaththu (43 off 47) in the 15th over.
