Two passengers were arrested at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad, in separate incidents after allegedly misbehaving with air hostesses, police said on Tuesday.

In the first case, a passenger identified as Ramesh was taken into custody by Shamshabad police following a complaint from cabin crew members, who accused him of engaging in obscene behaviour during the flight. Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused.

In a separate incident, Nazar, a cinema technician, was arrested after he allegedly behaved indecently with air hostesses on an IndiGo flight that arrived in Hyderabad from Dubai. Shamshabad police apprehended him immediately after the aircraft landed.

Police also referred to a similar case from November, in which a software professional from Kerala was arrested for misbehaving with an air hostess on a Dubai–Hyderabad flight. According to officials, the passenger touched the crew member while she was performing her duties and later made obscene and abusive remarks towards the cabin crew after landing.

The crew further observed that the passenger, believed to be in his 30s, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The incident was reported to the flight captain, who alerted ground staff and police upon arrival.

Meanwhile, flight operations at RGIA were also disrupted due to adverse weather conditions and dense fog in Delhi. Airport authorities confirmed that 14 departures and 15 arrivals were cancelled as a result of the weather-related disruptions.

Authorities have reiterated that strict action will be taken against passengers engaging in unruly or inappropriate behaviour on board flights.
