Iran has expressed heartfelt gratitude to India for the overwhelming humanitarian support extended by its citizens during the ongoing crisis. The Iranian Embassy in India acknowledged the compassion and generosity shown by people across the country, stating that such kindness would never be forgotten.

In an official message, the embassy thanked the people of India for standing in solidarity with Iran during difficult times. It highlighted the emotional and meaningful contributions made by individuals, particularly from Kashmir, where residents have come forward to donate money, jewellery, and other valuables.

The embassy shared moving accounts of generosity, including that of a woman who donated gold preserved as a cherished memory of her late husband, who passed away nearly three decades ago. The gesture was described as a powerful symbol of empathy and human connection.

It also noted the participation of children, who contributed their savings by offering piggy banks, reflecting the depth of support from all sections of society.

In Budgam, locals have organised donation drives to collect financial aid and valuables to assist those affected in Iran. A collection point was set up at Masjid Imam Zaman, where families have been contributing gold, silver, copper, and cash as part of a community-led effort to extend help.

Speaking about the initiative, a local resident explained that while people may not be able to physically assist those in need, contributing financially is a meaningful way to support and uphold humanitarian values.

The Iranian Embassy emphasised that these acts of kindness, driven by compassion and solidarity, have provided emotional strength to the people of Iran during a challenging period.

The response from Indian citizens highlights the spirit of humanity that transcends borders, reinforcing people-to-people connections even in times of global uncertainty.
