An IndiGo flight operating between Kuwait and Hyderabad made an emergency diversion to Mumbai on Tuesday following an email warning that claimed a “human bomb” was present on the aircraft.

Officials confirmed that the threat email, received by Hyderabad Airport authorities, contained detailed information and was assessed as a specific and credible alert, triggering an immediate security response.

The aircraft landed safely in Mumbai, where it was directed to an isolation bay. Bomb detection teams, CISF personnel, emergency responders, and airport security officials quickly surrounded the aircraft and began a thorough inspection.

Authorities have yet to disclose the number of passengers onboard, and an official statement from IndiGo Airlines is still awaited. As of now, no suspicious items or activity have been officially reported, and investigations are ongoing.

This scare comes just a day after a private school in Mira Road, Thane, received a bomb threat email that later turned out to be a hoax. Despite the false alarm, police deployed additional personnel, conducted campus checks with the bomb squad, and continued classes normally.
