Dubai Airports have significantly increased flight operations to help stranded travellers as tensions continue in the Middle East due to the ongoing Iran–Israel conflict.
Authorities announced that more than 1,140 flights were operated within the past 84 hours, connecting passengers to destinations across the world.
Limited Airport Operations Continue
Currently, Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) are partially operational, allowing limited flight services as the aviation sector gradually stabilises following regional airspace disruptions.
Airport authorities have advised travellers not to go to the airport unless their airline has contacted them with a confirmed departure time, as flight schedules continue to change.
Hundreds of Flights Depart in Three Days
Between March 2 and March 5, more than 500 flights departed from DXB and DWC, offering over 105,000 outbound seats to travellers heading to more than 80 countries.
Dubai Airports stated that flight operations are being expanded gradually to manage the growing number of passengers affected by cancellations and diversions caused by the regional conflict.
Officials also noted that the number of flights being scheduled is increasing rapidly each day as airlines resume services.
Passengers Urged to Check Flight Status
Travellers have been advised to frequently check the status of their flights with their airlines, as schedules may change depending on security conditions and airspace availability across the Middle East.
Airport authorities emphasised that passengers should avoid arriving at the airport without confirmed travel arrangements to prevent overcrowding and confusion.
Emirates Reopens Bookings to Multiple Destinations
Meanwhile, Emirates airline has reopened bookings to 75 international destinations, including eight cities in India, for travel on March 5 and March 6.
The airline clarified that passengers who are transiting through Dubai will only be allowed to travel if their connecting flight is operating.
Emirates has also prioritised customers who already had bookings before the conflict disrupted flight operations.
The airline stated that it continues to closely monitor the situation and will adjust its flight schedules depending on developments in the region.
Travellers have been advised to regularly check the airline’s official website for the latest flight updates and operational announcements.
